So Awesome Caveman Could Eat It!

Freakin A! how have you been... I think I may have out cooked Betty Crocker!

F. Yeah!

I know I know I know...
Thank you, you all can stop clapping now its to overwhelming and I cannot think!

Yesterday I made some killer Granola.. this shizzle is not your ordinary run of the mill trail mix that your grandma makes. I tried my damnedest to make this freakin nuttastic trail goodness with every intention on sticking to the paleo guidelines...
However, I may have colored outside the lines a bit. But dang it, its like trying to color a picture with one of those GIANT crayons. I don’t know why they even make them. First of all they are hard to use and second
I have yet to find an effective sharpener.

Well, if your a paleo classify this one under (well at least there isn’t any oats or grain in it, and F’in A I made it myself so that has to count for something!!). And if your just a lover of food you can just classify it under ( umph *crunch crunch* umph)

So now that we have that out of the way, here is the goods. FYI I often have the tendency not to measure, sorry about that. So these measurements might be a little off. Just use your best judgment... heck you made it this far without my rumbling rants and off topic humor, so you’ll be okie dokie! If all else fails use your nose! if it doesn't smell like you would eat it don’t and if it doesn't smell good enough for you add more spice!

6oz bags of the following Nuts:
slivered almonds
chopped walnuts
chopped pecans
Cashews

1 cup (or more if you like) of sunflower seeds de-shelled.

1/4 cup light oil
(coconut oil, saffron oil) - I have not tried making it olive oil  so i have no clue if it effects the taste.

1/2 cup 100% Organic Maple syrup ( give or take)

1/4 cup Organic honey  (give or take)

1 1/4 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1/3 tsp nutmeg
1 1/4 tbsp cinnamon

Wait to add
1 cup Raisins
Other sorts of goodies!  ( umm Paleo Approved Goodies of course.)

turn on your oven like device and we need a temp of 250 deg.

Mix up all the stuff except the stuff under WAIT TO ADD!

Now be a good little mixer and mix in other stuff... NOT THE WAIT TO ADD STUFF

Each nut should have a nice shiny coat to it. Everyone loves a shiny coat even my dogs.

Shake and Bake... I use Parchment because I hate to clean pans... do not worry Eco avengers I reuse this stuff again and again and again... I know when its time to get a new piece when it starts to resemble cardboard. Yummy!

So bake this awesome goodness and stir it every once and a while because it gets lonely. Cook this stuff for about an hour and a half, or until its nice and golden... kinda like that guy or gal you were checkin out the other day... I know you were lookin! Anywho, it should look like this!

now that it's done and assuming it is not burnt! Add the rest of the stuff while it's hot.
Let it cool Foo! or your going to burn your dang self.. Get creative add other stuff like: coconut slivers, cranberry, shenanigans, etc...
Or you can copy me and make this!
Unsweetened Coco powder and Cinnamon Vanilla nut coffee.
ZOWIEE!!!

once this stuff cools break it apart and share you hoggy hogertion! besides it's better eaten that way!

Success requires food... Tell us your fave food that fuels your creativity Reactor!
